Border artists: In the July 24 Arts & Books section, an article about U.S.-Mexico border artists Marcos Ramirez and David Taylor said that the Mexican-American War cost Mexico more than 500 million square miles. It was more than 500,000 square miles. Also, the Treaty of Adams-Onís was ratified by Mexico in 1831, not 1821.
