TV ratings: CBS, Univision, NBC tie for most watched among key demo

With a rating of 1.3, NBC, CBS and Univision tied for most-watched network of the night among the key 18-to-49-year-old demographic, according to Nielsen.

While CBS’ “Big Brother” wooed the desired demo, NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” won the night in overall viewership.

The CBS privacy-deprivation show earned a rating of 2.0 in the key demo, down 9% from last week’s rating of 2.2. Roughly 6.5 million people tuned in to watch drama in the house unfold.

Also on the network, Halle Berry’s sci-fi series “Extant” stayed even with last week’s episode with a rating of 1.0 in the key demo.

“America’s Got Talent,” which sent the top five acts to the semifinals, followed close behind in the key demo with a rating of 1.8. Overall, the show had 9.7 million viewers, elevating NBC to No. 1 most-viewed network of the night.

Meanwhile, Spanish-language network Univision drew in about 3.3 million viewers with its telenovelas “Lo Que la Vida Me Robó” and “Mi Corazón es Tuyo.”

On Fox, a two-hour episode of “So You Think You Can Dance” earned a rating of 1.0 and drew in roughly 3.4 million viewers.
