“Furious 7” added another $45.5 million to its haul in China last week, bringing its cumulative box office on the mainland to nearly $371 million.

“Furious 7” has pulled in about $330 million in the U.S. and Canada. The Universal Pictures film last month became the top-grossing movie ever in China, surpassing “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” and has sat atop the box office charts for four consecutive weeks.

It did not face competition last week on the mainland from “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which is not due to open here until May 12.

Another domestic book adaptation, “The Left Ear,” came in a close third with $32.9 million, Artisan said.

In fourth place with about $21 million was the Hong Kong crime fantasy “Helios” and rounding out the top five was DreamWorks Animation’s “Home,” which took in another $13.4 million, bringing its gross since its April 24 release to $21.6 million.
