The ‘Seinfeld’ Soup Nazi is coming to L.A., and he actually has soup for you

“No soup for you!” It’s a line fans of the show “Seinfeld” have repeated over and over again, in every imaginable situation, since “The Soup Nazi” episode aired in the ‘90s.

And today, the Soup Nazi is in L.A., and there’s plenty of soup for everyone.

Larry Thomas, the actor who played the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld, is now a spokesperson for the Original Soupman soups, a company owned by Ali “Al” Yeganeh, the chef who inspired the character.

Yeganeh had a New York City restaurant called Soup Kitchen International, closed it, then opened the Original Soupman franchise, and launched a heat-and-serve soup line under the Original Soupman name. And now, Thomas is helping him sell the soups.

Thomas will be at a Ralphs on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City on Thursday, with samples of the soup. Flavors include chicken noodle, chicken gumbo, lobster bisque and crab corn chowder.

Thomas will be there from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. along with Original Soupman CEO Jamie Karson. So you can either tell your friends the Soup Nazi served you soup, or just go buy the soup at Costco, where it’s readily available.
