Ground, air crews fighting brush fire in Rustic Canyon area

Share

Ground and air crews were aggressively attacking a brush fire in the Rustic Canyon area near Brentwood late Thursday, according the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No homes are currently threatened and no evacuations have been ordered.

About two acres have burned so far, according to the department’s Twitter feed.

The agency said the fire was burning in heavy brush and was driven by terrain, rather than wind. About 11:30 p.m., winds in the area were only about 3 mph and humidity was about 80%.
