Man killed in possible gang-related shooting in Santa Ana
A man was killed Monday in a possible gang-related shooting in Santa Ana, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 7:35 p.m. near 17th Street and North Spurgeon Street, said Cmdr. Matt Sorenson of the Santa Ana Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 9 p.m., Sorenson said.
Nearby, officers found fresh gang graffiti that investigators believe is related to the killing, Sorenson said.
The victim has not yet been identified.
