Fullerton police are searching for two suspects who assaulted three male victims, leaving one man in a coma.

The assault occurred in the 100 block of North Harbor Boulevard downtown about 2 a.m. last Saturday and was caught on a surveillance camera, according to a police statement.

A fight started when the two male suspects asked the victims why there were looking at one of the men’s girlfriend, police said.

One victim was punched in the face and fell to the ground, striking his head, police said. He was rushed to a local trauma center, where he remains in a coma.

A second victim sustained a dislocated shoulder while the third suffered cuts and bruises, police said.

One suspect was described as approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 210 pounds. Police said the man, in his mid-20s, has a muscular build and brown spiked hair. He was clean shaven, had light brown eyes and was wearing a white long-sleeved, collared, button-down shirt, they said.

The second suspect was described as standing approximately 5-foot-10 and weighing 180 pounds. He was in his mid-20s and was clean shaven with black hair, police said. He has a distinct haircut with “lines” razored into the sides of his scalp, they said.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the two suspects and their female companion. It appears from the surveillance video that some witnesses may have captured the assault on cellphones, police said.
