A 25-year-old Chino Hills man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter after his car allegedly struck and killed a bicyclist in Pomona early Saturday, police said.

Rick Kyujin Lee was driving north in the 1900 block of South Garey Avenue about 2:30 a.m. when his white 2011 BMW sedan rear-ended a bicyclist, said Corp. J.T. Garcia of the Pomona Police Department.

The cyclist, a man in his 40s or 50s whose identity was not released, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, Garcia told City News Service.

Evidence at the site “led officers to suspect Lee was under the influence of alcohol while driving,” Garcia said.

There was no immediate word on whether Lee sustained any injuries.
