Pomona police seek help identifying woman found dead in carport
Officials are working to identify a woman who was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in a carport behind a Pomona apartment early Monday.
Officers made the discovery after responding to reports of gunfire just before 3 a.m. in the 700 block of San Francisco Avenue, according to Pomona police.
The woman had no identification on her, and police are working with the coroner’s office Tuesday to track more information down. She was described as Latina and as being between 30 and 40 years old, according to the Pomona Police Department. No new information had been learned as of Tuesday morning, officials said.
Police also do not have any information on a possible shooter, although they expect that could change once they learn the victim’s identity and piece together her whereabouts the night of the shooting.
Anyone with information was urged to call the Pomona Police Department at (909) 620-2085.
