Deadly violence rocked a Koreatown parking garage on Tuesday when a man fatally shot another man who had stabbed and injured a woman during a dispute, according to a preliminary investigation by police.

Officers were called to the 600 block of South Berendo Street shortly before 5:30 p.m. on reports that someone was assaulting another person with a firearm, according to Officer Tony Im, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Following a preliminary investigation, officers believe that a man and woman were having a verbal argument in a parking garage of an apartment building. The man stabbed the woman and injured her, Im said.
