One man was killed and two others injured Wednesday when they were attacked by a group of men in Carson who jumped out of an SUV wielding knives and blunt objects, authorities said.

The attack occurred about 9:30 p.m. when homicide detectives say three men were walking along 225th and Main streets when a champagne-colored sport utility vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban, stopped near the group. Six men got out and attacked the three men, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said.

Two of the men were stabbed and the third was hit with a blunt object. One of the stabbing victims died at the scene and the other two men were taken to the hospital, where they were last listed in fair condition.
