3.3 earthquake strikes near Paso Robles

A shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported Friday morning 24 miles from Paso Robles, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 1:41 a.m. PDT at a depth of 2.5 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was five miles from San Simeon, 27 miles from Morro Bay and 29 miles from Atascadero.

In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
