Justin Bieber is now a vandalism suspect, authorities said Friday, after a neighbor’s house in Calabasas was egged Thursday night.

The neighbor called authorities about 7:40 p.m. claiming someone was pelting his home with eggs, said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Nagelmann of the Malibu/Lost Hills station.

The neighbor was home with his daughter at the time, Nagelmann said, adding that sheriff’s deputies who responded to the scene found no one outside.

A grainy video posted on TMZ allegedly documents the incident, where a man standing in the doorway of a home exchanges expletives with a voice outside, before telling another person in the house to call the police.

“I got another one for you, actually,” the person outside yells back in the video, before apparently hitting the house with more eggs.

Sheriff’s deputies said video and photos were submitted as evidence.

Nagelmann said the neighbor told deputies he had seen Bieber throwing the eggs. The charge in the initial police report is listed as misdemeanor vandalism, according to the sheriff’s department.

“He hasn’t been questioned yet,” Nagelmann said, referring to Bieber. “It’s been passed over to the detectives and they’re investigating it.”

Authorities said it’s still unknown what prompted the egging. Bieber has been at the center of a number of controversies that have caused friction in the wealthy, gated community where he lives.
