It is unclear how many tons of asphalt spilled during the 5 a.m. crash. Police said the semi-truck collided with a small vehicle just south of Mission Boulevard. The driver of the semi-truck likely lost control and overturned.

Commuters traveling on the freeways Friday morning saw additional delays in Diamond Bar.
