Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes near Redwood Valley, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning 21 miles from Redwood Valley, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 8:19 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 7.5 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 28 miles from Ukiah, Calif., 41 miles from Clearlake and 60 miles from Red Bluff.

In the past 10 days, there have been two earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
