The operation is the sixth gang enforcement operation conducted in the last year, the department said. Pomona police were assisted by the U.S. Marshal’s Service, the California Department of Corrections, the L.A. County Probation Department, the L.A. County district attorney’s office and the San Gabriel Valley East AB109 Task Force.

Such sweeps are meant to keep pressure on gang members, develop intelligence on unsolved crimes and arrest those committing new crimes or with outstanding warrants, the department said.

The department is continuing to offer a $10,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in any unsolved homicides. Witnesses are encouraged to contact detectives at (909) 620-2085 or can remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477 or We-Tip at (800) 782-7463.
