Two other passengers, a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man, were injured in the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The victims were heading south in a 1995 Toyota Camry about 2:15 a.m. when their car turned to the right and struck the left front side of the truck near the Avalon Boulevard exit, the CHP said.
