Power outage in Sherman Oaks affects homes, signals
A power failure in Sherman Oaks is affecting about 1,000 homes and knocked out traffic signals, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power officials said Saturday.
The outage occurred at 7:22 a.m., according to DWP spokesman Albert Rodriguez. He could not say when the power will be restored, but at about 8:30 a.m., the DWP tweeted: “Power outage Sherman Oaks: all power to be restored within the hour. Thank you for your patience.”
A City News Service reporter in the area said traffic signals on Van Nuys Boulevard near Ventura Boulevard were not working.
