Kate Hudson wore a daring -- or maybe strange is a better word? -- Versace original to the Versace Haute Couture show in Paris on Sunday. The dress was made of red fabric with a hip-high slit up one side and lots of asymmetrical cutouts baring odd slices of skin -- abdomen, hip, butt -- elsewhere. Designer Rick Owens explained why he had his models show their penises at his menswear show in Paris last week. “I pass classical marble statues of nude and draped figures in the park every day, and they are a vision of sensuality — yes, but also of grace and freedom. As a participant in one of our most progressive aesthetic arenas, am I not allowed to use this imagery? Is it only appropriate for a Michael Fassbender movie? I thought this might be an interesting question,” he told WWD in an e-mail.
