The Costume Designers Guild announced Thursday that filmmaker Quentin Tarantino and costume designer Ellen Mirojnick will be among the honorees at its annual awards ceremony early next year.

Mirojnick, who earned an Emmy Award and a Costume Designers Guild Award for her efforts on HBO’s “Behind the Candelabra” (2013) is set to receive the career achievement award.

Her credits include the TV show “The Knick,” and the movies “Fatal Attraction,” “Basic Instinct,” “Chaplin” and “Showgirls.” Her wardrobe choices for Michael Douglas’ Gordon Gekko character in “Wall Street” (1987) ended up influencing the way men dressed off-screen in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Previous recipients of the annual award include costume designers Aggie Guerard Rodgers (2015) and April Ferry (2014).

Tarantino, whose film “The Hateful Eight,” is set to hit theaters on Christmas Day, will be honored with the distinguished collaborator award for what the guild said was “recognition of his creative partnerships with costume designers.”

The writer and director, who took home Academy Awards for penning the screenplays to 1994’s “Pulp Fiction” and 2012’s “Django Unchained,” has a list of film credits that includes “Reservoir Dogs,” “Kill Bill,” “Jackie Brown” and “Inglorious Basterds.”

According to Thursday’s announcement, Kurt Russell, one of the actors in “The Hateful Eight,” will present the honor to Tarantino during the event.

Previous recipients include Richard Linklater (2015) and Judd Apatow (2014).

In addition to the honorary awards, the 18th Costume Designers Guild Awards ceremony, scheduled to take place Feb. 23 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, will recognize the work of costume designers in seven film and television categories.
