The Chicago-set comedy-drama “Shameless” uncorks a seventh season. William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum star. 9 p.m. Showtime

“Fear the Walking Dead” ends another season. But fear not, “The Walking Dead” will be back in just a few short weeks. 9:59 p.m. AMC

From the clues, we can deduce that the detective drama “Elementary” is back for a fifth season. With Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu. 10 p.m. CBS

MONDAY

First, they take Manhattan: The new documentary “Class Divide” looks at the ongoing gentrification of New York City’s once-downmarket Chelsea neighborhood. 8 p.m. HBO

The techno-drama “Scorpion” is back for a third season. With Robert Patrick and Katharine McPhee. 9 p.m. CBS

Watch as cultural commentators Gore Vidal and William F. Buckley have at each other during the tumultuous 1968 election season in the documentary “Best of Enemies” airing on “Independent Lens.” 9 p.m. KOCE

It takes some good guys with a time machine to stop a bad guy with a time machine in the new sci-fi drama “Timeless.” With “ER’s” Goran Visnjic. 10 p.m. NBC
