Meredith Vieira has another notch on her show biz belt -- a successful daytime talk show.

Vieira, who has also proved her appeal as a former anchor of NBC’s “Today” and a co-host of ABC’s “The View,” has a new daytime syndicated talk show, “The Meredith Vieira Show.” Less than two months after its premiere, the show has been renewed for NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution for a second season.

The series, which is based at Rockefeller Center in New York City, currently airs in 98% of the country, including the NBC-owned television stations.

“With its singular host and talented producers, Meredith has grown creatively since launch, continues to gain viewers and we are optimistic it will emerge as a staple in daytime,” Ed Swindler, president of NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and NBC Broadcast Operations, said.
