When viewers last saw Vee, the villanous manipulator in Netflix prison dramedy “Orange Is the New Black,” she was slammed by a van after escaping from the Litchfield Correctional Facitlity.

It was a brutal moment for a character who had injected so much intensity into the season.

Veteran actress Lorraine Toussaint, who brought Vee to life, will be stopping by The Times on at 11 a.m. PDT Tuesday to talk about her character’s menacing presence on the show.

Yvonne “Vee” Parker was introduced in the show’s second season and quickly established herself as one to be feared. Viewers learned of her backstory as a drug-dealing surrogate mom to Taystee (Danielle Brooks) — a toxic relationship that continued when Vee was reunited with Taystee behind bars. But the toxicity didn’t end there. There was Vee’s troubled history with Red (Kate Mulgrew) and her controlling power over Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba) that also became running threads throughout the season. So there’s much to talk about.
