In a bold move, TBS has renewed the upcoming Rashida Jones series “Angie Tribeca” for an unprecedented 10 seasons. Each season will contain a single episode.

The show, which has yet to debut, follows a group of dedicated detectives with the LAPD who, the network states, “investigate the most serious cases, from the murder of a ventriloquist to a rash of baker suicides.”

TBS also announced that the first season of the series would debut Jan. 17 with a 25-hour on-air marathon, airing all 10 half-hour episodes back-to-back, five times over.

As for the following 10 seasons, each will contain just a single half-hour episode, all the better to give viewers “a season premiere and season finale in one really tight package,” according to the statement released by the network. Season two will debut (and conclude) Jan. 25, with a new season debuting (and concluding) each week.

“Angie Tribeca” is executive produced by Steve and Nancy Carell, the former of whom previously worked with Rashida Jones on NBC’s “The Office.”

TBS calls its new series “powerful,” “brooding,” and “tastefully erotic.” Viewers can judge for themselves with this newly released teaser trailer.

“Angie Tribeca” debuts on TBS via marathon Jan. 17 at 9 p.m. A weekly rollout of seasons 2-11 will begin Jan. 25 at 9:30 p.m.
