The Big Bang Theory:

The guy from the comic book store (Kevin Sussman) asks Amy (Mayim Bialik) out on a date, making Sheldon (Jim Parsons) a bit jealous, in this new episode (8 p.m. CBS).

So You Think You Can Dance:
Season 9 begins tonight, then moves to its regular Wednesday slot on May 30. Host Cat Deeley returns along with judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy (8 p.m. Fox).

The Mentalist:
Henry Thomas (“E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial”) guest stars in this episode as a bounty hunter who also happens to be Lisbon’s (Robin Tunney) younger brother. Simon Baker and Amanda Righetti also star (10 p.m. CBS).

Awake:
In the conclusion of the two-part season finale, the police force tries to locate Britten (Jason Isaacs), who’s still on a mission to crack the conspiracy that tore his family apart. B.D. Wong, Cherry Jones, Wilmer Valderrama and Steve Harris also star (10 p.m. NBC).

Rookie Blue:
Now entering their third year on the job, the rookies have overcome the sophomore curse. Missy Peregrym and Ben Bass star in the season premiere with guest star William Shatner (10 p.m. ABC).

Men at Work:
In this new series, Danny Masterson returns to series television as the newly single Milo, who works at a men’s magazine. James Lesure, Michael Cassidy and Adam Busch play his friends and co-workers (10 p.m. TBS). A second new episode follows at 10:30.

Watch What Happens: Live:
Musicians Beth Ditto and Adam Lambert are featured (11 p.m. Bravo).

SPORTS

Basketball:

NBA Playoffs: The Miami Heat visit the Indiana Pacers (5 p.m. ESPN).

College softball:
NCAA Super-regionals: Alabama vs. Michigan (5 p.m. ESPN2); Arizona State vs. Louisiana-Lafayette (7 p.m. ESPN2).

Baseball:
The Angels visit the Seattle Mariners (7 p.m. FSN).
