Defiance As hordes of freed Omec hunt Defiance citizens, most of the community’s power players — Nolan, Amanda, Datak, Irisa (Grant Bowler, Julie Benz, Tony Curran, Stephanie Leonidas) and their friends — risk a potential suicide mission to end the threat once and for all in the season finale. Anna Hopkins and Jaime Murray also star. 8 p.m. Syfy

Great Performances Zubin Mehta conducts the Vienna Philharmonic in its annual open-air concert from the gardens of Austria’s Imperial Schonbrunn Palace, with pianist Rudolf Buchbinder. On the bill are works by Grieg, Sibelius, Richard Strauss and Johann Strauss II. 9 p.m. KOCE

Dark Matter The team’s handler (David Hewlett) returns to send the crew on what they expect to be a fairly routine mission to retrieve a scientist being held against his will on a distant world, but the assignment turns into a horrific ordeal for one team member. Wil Wheaton guest stars, 9 p.m. Syfy. The season finale follows at 10 p.m.
