Three people were shot Sunday night outside the Echo on Sunset as the weekly Part Time Punks party was letting out. The show featured the Warlocks, the Meek and Green Eyes. L.A. Now’s Robert Faturechi has the full report, which we’re reprinting here:

A man on a motorcycle opened fire on three patrons leaving a popular Echo Park club Sunday night, before fleeing down Sunset Boulevard, police said. Eight shots were fired into the crowd outside of The Echo, hitting one man’s torso, another man’s arm and grazing a third man’s head. The gunman, police said, was parked outside the bar waiting. As three men exited after last call, the man on the motorcycle began shooting. Police are puzzled over the motive. Eyewitnesses reported no disputes inside the bar before the shooting, and authorities are investigating whether the three wounded men even know each other, said Lt. Wes Buhrmester with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart station. “This is kind of a weird deal,” Buhrmester said. Police say the three wounded men are expected to survive. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call detectives at (213) 484-3400.
