The superstar singer Adele has a lot to be thankful for of late. After half a decade of studio silence, the artist released her ace new album, “25,” and followed it up with a Jimmy Fallon and the Roots-accompanied performance of “Hello” that went viral.

Now comes word that Adele will be taking her golden throat on the road: She just announced a European tour that will carry her throughout the continent starting at the end of February. No U.S. dates have been announced yet, but Southern Californians will be heartened to know that her only show during the Coachella month of April occurs on the 29th. That leaves open the possibility that she will headline.

Newly released sales figures confirm that “25” sold more than 2.8 million copies in its first week. That number shattered the record of the previous first-week sales leader, *NSYNC, whose “No Strings Attached” tracked 2.4 million copies in 2000.

In a video that Adele released announcing the European tour, she displayed her usual wit, cursing her way through failed takes while conveying the news.

She then listed a string of countries including Britain, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, France and Italy. In total, she will do 36 dates in Europe, the first of which begins in Northern Ireland on February 29, 2016.
