E-bike entrepreneur: An article in the Feb. 28 Business section about entrepreneur Storm Sondors’ electric bicycle project and his living with Asperger’s misspelled his last name as Sonders.
Farmers markets: In the Feb. 14 Saturday section, an article about Los Angeles County farmers markets said that sales had fallen 43% from 2007 to 2012. That figure represents the decrease in direct-marketing sales by Los Angeles County farmers, primarily at farmers markets. No statistics are kept for farmers market sales.
Capitol scene: On the Monday Business page of the March 2 Section A, a Capitol Business Beat column about the relative quiet in Sacramento said that revised term limits gave elected officials more time in the Legislature, up to 12 years. The law allows lawmakers to spend a maximum of 12 years in one house of the Legislature, either the Senate or the Assembly. But it also reduced from 14 years to 12 years the total combined time that can be served in both houses.
Texas and guns: An article in the March 1 Section A about activists in Texas pushing for legislation that would allow people to openly carry handguns said that Claire Larson, who is opposed to such legislation, is a gun owner. She is not.
Thomas Heatherwick: A review in the March 1 Arts & Books section of an exhibition of the work of Heatherwick Studio at the Hammer Museum described artist studios designed by the firm as being in Aberystwyth in England. Aberystwyth is in Wales.
“The Hunger Games”: In the New Releases column of the March 1 Calendar section, a review of the home theater release of the film “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” said that both the DVD and Blu-ray included special features. They are on the Blu-ray only.
