Time change for Lakers’ Jan. 19 visit to Phoenix Suns

On Friday, the NBA announced a time change for the Lakers’ visit to the Phoenix Suns on Jan. 19.

The nationally televised game (TNT) will start 30 minutes earlier, at 7 p.m. (8 p.m. locally) instead of the originally scheduled 7:30 p.m.

Despite coming off their worst season since moving to Los Angeles (27-55), the Lakers are featured on national television a total of 28 times (ABC, ESPN, NBATV and TNT).

The franchise will open training camp with media day on Sep. 29, playing their first preseason game on Oct. 6 in San Diego (Valley View Casino Center) against the Denver Nuggets.

The 2014-15 regular season starts on Oct. 28 at Staples Center when the Lakers host Dwight Howard and the Houston Rockets.

The team has yet to announce its training camp roster, which could grow as high as 20. The Lakers have 13 players under contract including newcomers Jeremy Lin, Carlos Boozer, Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson and Ed Davis.
