NBA’s Ryan Hollins sells home court in Tarzana for above asking price
Former UCLA and Los Angeles Clippers forward-center Ryan Hollins didn’t have much trouble courting a buyer for his home in Tarzana.
Listed for sale at $2.699 million in February, the country English-style estate entered contract after 10 days on the market and sold Thursday for $2.725 million -- $26,000 above the asking price. Hollins, who currently plays for the Sacramento Kings, paid $2.3 million for the home in 2011.
Built in 1995, the brick-lined home sits on nearly three-quarters of an acre with a gated motor court, a sports/handball court, a covered loggia, a swimming pool with a spa, formal gardens and large expanses of grass.
Entered through a double-height foyer, the free-flowing floor plan features an expansive living room with a wall fireplace and wood-carved mantel that opens to a banquet-size dining room. A library sits off the foyer.
Other spaces include a family room with a wet bar, a center-island kitchen with three ovens, a butler’s pantry, a breakfast room and an office. In all, there are six bedrooms and seven bathrooms in 6,399 square feet.
Outdoors, the raised grounds take in views of the Valley, the Braemar Country Club and the surrounding mountainsides.

Hollins, 30, attended John Muir High School in his hometown of Pasadena and was a four-year starter in basketball, as well as a track-and-field standout, for the Bruins from 2002 through 2006. A second-round pick in the 2006 draft, he has played for seven NBA teams over the course of nine seasons.
