Hilary Duff is back in the spotlight and seems to have a lot to say.

The newly dyed TV star said “it’s been a big year” for her, but tried to keep the focus on her professional life, talking to E! News at the premiere of her TV Land comedy, “Younger.”

“Everyone knows a lot of what goes on in my personal life, and thank God I have exciting things happening in my professional life as well, like the show and my record,” she said, acknowledging her March filing for divorce from Mike Comrie and her much-delayed album. “My record’s finally done. So I’m really excited for whatever adventure is in my future. I think it’s going to be exciting.”

The “Lizzie McGuire” star, who is mom to 3-year-old son Luca, said she’s “the worst dieter” but is proud of her body.

“I’m, like, accepting of what it is,” she said. “I’m not ever going to be 110 pounds again, so working with what you’ve got and just trying to feel strong and powerful I think is a good motto for a mom who’s 27.”

What else is new for Duff? That blue-green elephant in the room: her hair.

If you’re an avid follower of the Disney alum on Instagram, you probably already knew about that, given the glut of selfies she’s posted since going green. The former child star debuted the hue on the photo-sharing site about two weeks ago and brought it out to play this week while she was doing the promotional rounds for her series with costar Sutton Foster. She showcased the color at the TV Land series’ premiere party, on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” in several portraits and just about everywhere else this week.

“I love that you can just take on a different role,” she told People of the shade. “You can just put something on and all of a sudden you’ve morphed into something different. It brings out a tone in your personality and you get to play with that.”

Duff’s big move to New York may have also influenced her decision.

“I think it was a great thing for my life to have a little change, and I did fall in love with Brooklyn,” she added in an AOL Build Q&A. “I think it rubbed off on me because I have blue hair now!”
