Shopping: Stash, 360 Cashmere open; Jet Set Candy visits L.A.

This week’s news of shopping, beauty and fashion in Los Angeles and environs includes some openings, some events and a trunk show that may make you want to take a trip.

Openings

Vintage purveyor Stash has opened a pop-up at Das Shop, 1930 Lincoln Blvd., Venice. The pop-up is scheduled to be open throughout March. The store is open noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

California-based premium knitwear company 360 Cashmere is set to open a store Wednesday at the Malibu Lumberyard. Husband-and-wife team Bruce and Leslie Gifford launched the company in 2009. They’re planning a public event to celebrate the opening sometime in May at the store at 23405 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

Events

“Project Runway” winner Mondo Guerra is to host a party to show off See Eyewear’s collection from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at See Eyewear at the Americana at Brand in Glendale. There will be libations, snacks and a limited number of goodie bags worth $125. To attend, guests must RSVP to rsvp@seeeyewear.com or call (818) 637-8982.

Vintage T-shirt company Junk Food plans to host a free brunch with Brooklyn, N.Y.-based eyewear firm Classic Specs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Junk Food’s store at 1103 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice. A brunch of New York bagels from NYC’s Murray’s bagels, Blue Bottle Coffee and mimosas will be served to the first 200 guests. RSVP at classicspecsxjunkfood.splashthat.com.

Trunk shows

The designers for New York-based travel-inspired jewelry company Jet Set Candy are planning a series of trunk shows at various Bloomingdale’s locations this month. Each show is scheduled from noon to 6 p.m. and they will be at Century City March 12 and March 13, Beverly Center on March 14 and Santa Monica Place on March 15. The line includes more than 100 charms, cuffs and rings representing 33 countries. The pieces are made of sterling silver, gold vermeil and 14 karat gold. Prices range from $68 to $2,000.

Beauty

Nordstrom at the Shops at Mission Viejo is planning two days of events this Friday and Saturday in the store’s beauty department. Makeup artists from Dior (on Friday and Saturday), Chanel, Smashbox and Nars (all on Saturday) are taking appointments, which may be made by calling the store in Orange County at (949) 347-2710 and asking for its respective beauty counters. From 6 to 9 p.m., a special beauty event will include cocktails, light bites and services at various beauty bars. Tickets are $20, which will go toward product purchases.
