Tiger Woods still not sure about Masters

Share

It seems that 18 holes of practice at Augusta National weren’t enough to convince Tiger Woods that he is ready for competitive golf.

At least not yet.

Woods played at the home of the Masters with a couple of club members Tuesday, triggering speculation that he will make a comeback next week at the season’s first major championship.

“Tiger clearly is working hard and he will advise as to when he is ready to play competitively,” his agent, Mark Steinberg, told ESPN.

Woods has been on hiatus from the PGA Tour since withdrawing from the Farmers Insurance Open in early February.

The former No. 1 golfer -- who has now dropped out of the Top 100 -- has suffered lingering problems with his surgically repaired back and has said that he will not return until he gets his game in shape.

The Masters tees off April 9.
