This is the last weekend the Super 16 can impress the College Football Playoff selection committee before it releases its first top-25 poll Tuesday. Note the big surge for Alabama, which proved in a 59-0 romp over Texas A&M that it is definitely the nation’s best home team. Too bad the Crimson Tide can’t move the title game to Tuscaloosa or the back patio of Nick Saban’s summer home. Kansas State checks into the Super 16 after a big win at Oklahoma. Coach Bill Snyder’s team also outplayed Auburn.
