Oscar-nominated actress Sharon Stone is coming to television.

Stone, whose diverse career includes her eyebrow-raising turns in “Casino” and “Basic Instinct,” is the star and executive producer of “Agent X,” a drama that has just been greenlighted by TNT.

The series stars Jeff Hephner (“Interstellar,” “Chicago Fire”) as John Case, a “smooth, athletic tough and quick-witted operative who can be brutally effective when his duties require it,” according to press notes.

Stone plays Natalie Maccabee, America’s first female vice president, who pledges to protect the country “against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

TNT has ordered 10 episodes for the first season, expected to launch in the second half of 2015.
