Kiehl’s and New York-based photographer Christopher Makos (who collaborated with Andy Warhol and apprenticed with Man Ray) kicked off a Los Angeles exhibition and online sale at an event Thursday night at Kiehl’s Robertson Boulevard flagship in L.A. On view in the exhibition are prints of Makos’ photographs that are used in collage form on limited edition 50th anniversary bottles of Kiehl’s Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion. Through Thursday, 100 limited editon silkscreens of the photographs are to be for sale and two paintings by Makos up for auction at Gavel&Grand. Proceeds are to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. The exhibition is also scheduled to continue through Thursday, Kiehl’s said in a news release.
