Angels broadcaster Jose Mota makes spectacular foul-ball catch
When heading to the ballpark, what is the No. 1 rule?
Always bring your glove.
Former major leaguer and Angels Spanish-language radio color commentator Jose Mota certainly knows the rule, and he makes sure to abide by it even when he’s working in the booth.
During the Angels’ 3-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday, Mota made a stunning catch on a foul ball hit by Mike Zunino. Mota quickly swipes out his glove to mitt the ball, saving play-by-play Amaury Pi-Gonzalez from possibly getting pelted.
With those kinds of reflexes, perhaps Mota still has what it takes to play professional ball.
