Track: Stage is set for exciting Mission League final
They finished the Mission League prelims on Monday at Occidental College, and the stage is set for quite a battle in the boys’ 100 and 200.
Chaminade’s T.J. Brock led the 100 qualifiers with a time of 10.42. The other seven qualifiers are Alemany’s Dominic Davis (10.58), Diab Davis (10.59) and Johnny Edwards (11.04), Notre Dame’s Trevor Reid (10.85), Loyola’s Rafael Ferguson (10.86) and David Long (10.87) and Harvard-Westlake’s Alex Barnum (11.04).
In the 200, Brock led again with a time of 21.25.
The 400-meter relay also features the No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 fastest teams in the state.
In the girls’ 100, Shea Copeland of Harvard-Westlake led the qualifiers at 12.18. Sissy Farmer of Notre Dame was next at 12.46. Copeland also had the fastest 200 in 24.81.
