Berths in next week’s state track and field championships will be on the line on Thursday night, along with the chance to be best in the City Section.

The City Section track and field championships at Birmingham High should produce lots of celebrating from Carson athletes, because the Colts are heavily favored to win the team title for girls.

Leading the way will be junior Kaelin Roberts, the top 400 runner in the state. She’ll also be prominent in both relays.
