Football: Gardena Serra has a freshman to watch in Max Williams
There’s always a couple of freshmen who make it on the varsity level, and Gardena Serra appears to have one in receiver-defensive back Max Williams.
“He’s very athletic, mature, runs well,” Coach Scott Altenberg said of the 5-foot-10, 165-pound Williams. “He’s scratching to play right now.”
Serra plays Rancho Cucamonga in a scrimmage this week, then opens its season against Lakwood before a showdown game against Corona Centennial.
