Boys’ basketball: Jules Bernard lifts Windward into Gold Coast League finale

Jules Bernard came through with a 33-point, 10-rebound performance on Tuesday night to lift Windward past Campbell Hall, 76-70, in a semifinal game of the Gold Coast League tournament.

Payton Moore had 22 points and Shareef O’Neal 19. Windward advances to Friday night’s 5:30 p.m. championship game against Sierra Canyon at Crossroads. Jordan Cohen had 32 points for Campbell Hall. Sierra Canyon will also play Windward in the girls’ final at 7 p.m.

Sierra Canyon defeated Viewpoint, 67-44. Remy Martin had 17 points and Cody Riley 11. In a consolation game, Brentwood defeated Paraclete, 63-53.

No. 1-ranked Chino Hills (26-0) clinched the Baseline League title with a 104-93 win over Damien. It was the 13th time the Huskies have exceeded 100 points this season. LiAngelo Ball had 30 points, Eli Scott 26 and Lonzo Ball 24. Bryce Peters finished with 39 points for Damien.

In the Inland Valley League, JW North (21-4, 8-1) took over sole possession of first place with a 49-46 win over Rancho Verde (24-2, 7-2).

In the Trinity League, Mater Dei (24-3, 9-0) clinched its 28th consecutive league title with a 67-51 win over Orange Lutheran. Spencer Freedman scored 14 points and MJ Cage had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Santa Margarita defeated Servite, 63-49. Noah Rasheed, Kaden Rasheed and Jordan Guest each scored 15 points.

JSerra held off St. John Bosco, 64-60. Sebastian Much finished with 20 points. JJ Watson led St. John Bosco with 32 points.

Corona Centennial defeated Corona, 80-45. Jordan Griffin scored 24 points.

In the Pacific League, Pasadena defeated Hoover, 79-37, to clinch the league title. Bryce Hamilton scored 25 points. Burroughs defeated Glendale, 71-56.

In the Foothill League, Hart defeated Golden Valley, 100-64. Preston Dominguez scored 23 points. Saugus defeated Valencia, 58-55, on a game-winning three by Ryan McClenahan. Canyon defeated West Ranch, 49-46.

Maranatha clinched at least a share of Olympic League title with 61-50 win over Whittier Christian. Trevor Stanback had 20 points. Village Christian defeated Valley Christian, 61-58, in overtime.

In the Sunset League, Los Alamitos defeated Huntington Beach, 83-60.

In the Marmonte League, Ryan Murphy scored 34 points in Calabasas’ 62-49 win over Westlake. Oaks Christian defeated Thousand Oaks, 79-71, in overtime. Max Heidegger had 35 points. Newbury Park defeated Agoura, 43-40.

Foothill defeated Esperanza, 64-46. Connor Stinson had 18 points. Evan Battey scored 28 points in Villa Park’s 85-55 win over Canyon.

Flintridge Prep (17-4, 8-0) defeated Firebaugh, 75-48, in a Prep League game. Dante Fregoso had 21 points.

Noah Peterson had 39 points in Trinity’s 69-63 win over Valley Torah.

Santa Barbara improved to 26-1 with a 68-55 win over Ventura.

Santa Monica knocked off rival Beverly Hills, 66-55. Jonah Mathews scored 26 points and Rip Economou added 15 points.

Redondo defeated Palos Verdes, 81-41. Isaiah Tyler and Aaron Lapeyrollerie had 13 points apiece.

Highland clinched at least a share of its fourth consecutive Golden League title behind Deshay Gipson, who has scored 27, 40 and 24 points in his last three games. Highland defeated Littlerock, 64-31.

La Canada improved to 23-4 and 9-0 in the Rio Hondo League with a 59-32 win over Monrovia.
