Melissa Rivers paid respect to her mother on Friday, marking the one-year anniversary of Joan Rivers’ untimely death.

The 47-year-old daughter of the sharp-tongued comedienne posted a statement via her mother’s Twitter account to commemorate the “Fashion Police” host’s passing.

“Today marks one year since my mother passed,” E!’s new “Fashion Police” host wrote. “This was the year of firsts: first holidays, first birthdays, first everythings without mom, without grandma.”

“While it’s been difficult, I’ve been amazed by the outpouring of love and overwhelming kindness we’ve received from family, friends, and people whose lives were touched by the woman they knew as Joan -- a woman we all miss so very much,” Rivers said.

Joan Rivers died at age 81 last September of anoxic encephalopathy due to hypoxic arrest after she stopped breathing following an outpatient procedure performed on Aug. 28.

The mother-daughter red carpet mavens had collaborated on numerous projects, including serving as executive producers of the E! fashion talker and costarring in their WeTV reality series “Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best.” Melissa Rivers also penned a memoir commemorating her mom, titled “The Book of Joan: Tales of Mirth, Mischief, and Manipulation,” which was released earlier this year.

“Fashion Police,” the former “Tonight Show” guest host’s most recent legacy, experienced a shake-up following her death, with Joan Rivers’ mentee Kathy Griffin being added as a new host. Griffin exited the series after seven weeks just after cohost Kelly Osbourne stepped down after Giuliana Rancic’s Zendaya-at-the-Oscars debacle. After months of speculation, Melissa Rivers joined the series, which returned to air earlier this week. The talk show debuted a segment titled “What Would Joan Say” to pay tribute to its departed host.

The E! network also aired “Fashion Police: Celebrating Joan,” which honored the comic, on Thursday.
