Rick Fox had a new woman on his arm at a Super Bowl pre-party on Thursday night: AnnaLynne McCord.

Or did he? She cast major doubt on that “new couple” report even as it was going wide -- including coverage on this blog, which originally had the headline, “Rick Fox, AnnaLynne McCord step out as a couple at pre-Super Bowl party.”

The retired Los Angeles Laker, 45, and the “90210” and “Dallas” actress, 27, didn’t show up together Thursday at Scottsdale, Ariz.’s W Hotel for the Hennessy V.S Super Bowl lounge, but when she got there, sources told People, they were reportedly acting like a couple and she was calling him her “boyfriend.”

“They were really cute, holding hands, and even while fans asked Rick to take pics he held her hand while he took pics with them,” a source told the magazine.

However, McCord was joking about the report Friday in an interview with Boston Herald Radio, as Gossip Cop reported Saturday.

When the host mentioned People’s report and asked what was up with her and Fox, the “Nip/Tuck” actress had a jokey answer:

“Yes, isn’t he amazing?,” she said, facetiously. “I started dating him 48 hours ago when that picture happened! This is brand new, and we’re going to get married tomorrow! I’m having quadruplets next week.”

And it didn’t end there -- it look as if she’s got it planned out so she snags a Valentine’s Day dinner before the “relationship” peters out.

“We’re going to be divorced by February 15,” McCord said, before discussing the issue of sexual violence at length.

In the wee hours Friday morning, Fox had posted an Instagram photo of himself with her and NBA TV’s Lance Fresh.

Fox’s fairly high-profile relationship with “Dollhouse” actress Eliza Dushku -- remember her cheering him on during “Dancing With the Stars” back in 2010? -- ended last summer when she decided to move back to Boston.

“I’d rather be a little physically cold here than emotionally cold in L.A.,” Dushku told the Boston Globe in June, noting that Fox was an L.A. guy. “I missed my town and I missed my family.” (We’re guessing that emotional reference was aimed at the city, not the ex.)

McCord, who revealed last May that she’d been a victim of domestic violence and sexual abuse, has been praising the NFL’s effort against domestic violence as the Super Bowl nears.

“Thk u @NFL for recognizing the #UnsungHeroes fighting against #sexualizedviolence #sextrafficking and #domesticabuse,” she tweeted Thursday after drawing attention to the league’s big-game domestic-violence PSA on her Facebook page Wednesday. Fox took to Instagram to show his support.

McCord, incidentally, will be rooting for the New England Patriots.

The Pats “are going to win, yes sir, that’s right,” she told the Boston Herald. “The score’s gonna be, us to them, you suck, we win, the end. ... I think it’s going to be a low score. The defense obviously on the Seahawks is insane. And we’re going step up and be just as insane.

“Except just a little bit better!”
