Miley Cyrus, gender-fluidity advocate, makes out with model Stella Maxwell

While Miley Cyrus and Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell may or may not be dating, they were definitely making out between takes on a music-video shoot Tuesday night in L.A.

The women were aware of the cameras that caught them in action up against the side of a production trailer, according to TMZ, which said the makeout session didn’t appear to be one of Miley’s routine stunts.

A couple of weeks back, Cyrus posted a picture of herself with a pouty-lipped Maxwell and the caption “MEOW-TZ.”

In video obtained by the website, the “Wrecking Ball” singer, clad in a sparkly gold mini-dress and over-the-knee black leather boots, and the New Zealand-born model are seen with their arms draped around one another and kissing enthusiastically -- leading up to where Maxwell steers Cyrus’ hand down below the belt. And that’s right about the time some folks from the shoot show up to talk to the star.

Miley’s body language at that point practically screams, “Dangit.” Can you blame her?

The New York Daily News sounded the new-couple alarm regarding the women a couple of weeks back, citing friends of Cyrus as saying the ladies had been dating for months in the wake of the singer’s March breakup with Patrick Schwarzenegger. They met through Miley’s assistant and best friend, Cheyne Thomas, the paper said.

“I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age,” Cyrus told Paper recently in an interview where she identified as bisexual. “Everything that’s legal, I’m down with,” she said. “Yo, I’m down with any adult -- anyone over the age of 18 who is down to love me. I don’t relate to being boy or girl, and I don’t have to have my partner relate to boy or girl.”

She expounded on issues of gender and sexuality in an interview with Instagram that started with a discussion about her #InstaPride photo series, which featured portraits she’d taken of transgender and “gender-expansive” people.

“When these people tell me thank you I don’t think they realize how much self-discovery I’ve had in my own self. Because I’ve also learned a lot about gender fluidity, which I didn’t really understand. I relate to that,” she told the social media site.

“My favorite thing Brendan Jordan [a subject in Cyrus’ photography series] says is, ‘Some days I wake up and I’m the more fem Brendan and some days I wake up and I’m more the masculine Brendan and I don’t know what I’m going to be in the future, but I know that for right now I’m just Brendan.’ I think that is something that we need to all focus on more.”
