‘Miserable’ Miley Cyrus still in hospital, cancels another show

Share

A still-hospitalized Miley Cyrus canceled her Wednesday night show in St. Louis, but avoided another last-minute nix by telling fans the news early in the day via Twitter.

“I can’t get a hold of my team because it is so early so I want to be the one to tell my fans especially the ones trekking to get there,” the singer tweeted. “the hospital is sayin i wont b released today. therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis. Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control.”

Cyrus, who was hospitalized Tuesday for what her rep called a “severe allergic reaction to antibiotics,” even got a little cranky about the situation.

“humans can b so selfish,” she tweeted early Wednesday. “if any1 thinks id rather b layin n a hospital bed than doing what i love on stage theyre ... LAME. im miserable.”

Perhaps she was referring to online speculation Wednesday that alleged she’d crashed out, health-wise, after partying like crazy in the wake of the emotionally crippling loss of her dog Floyd.

“I hate this. & I hate hospitals. & I hate needles,” she’d written to a supportive but disappointed fan Tuesday. “I hate laying in a bad bored.”

Fans on Tuesday found out that her Kansas City, Mo., show was canceled only shortly before they were to enter the arena. Some had traveled long distances to see their idol.

“Tonight’s St. Louis date for Miley Cryus’ Bangerz Tour at the Scottrade Center has been cancelled,” read a notice posted Wednesday on the venue’s website. “Miley continues to be hospitalized due to a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics.”
