Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may expect to have the world at their feet, but when comedian Amy Schumer took that literally on Tuesday night, Kimye didn’t seem to dig it.

At least not right away.

The ubiquitous reality star and the vainglorious rapper, who topped the “titans” section of this year’s Time 100 list of the most influential people, stepped out in New York to celebrate their success at the Time 100 gala -- only to be pranked by a fellow honoree.

Wise-cracking comic Schumer, who made the list under the “artists” classification, decided to lay herself down in front of the power couple as they walked the red carpet at the Lincoln Center.

“Thanks Time100!” the gown-clad 33-year-old wrote on Twitter, sharing a snapshot of the face-planting, all-hail-Kimye stunt. In the moment, the Wests did not seem impressed.

The rapper later performed during the gala, and a photographer stepped on the train of Kardashian’s plunging Sophie Theallet gown, which was pretty hilarious -- but back to Schumer and her stunt.

“I saw them, and I asked my publicist, ‘Can I dive in front of them and act like I fell?’ And she said, ‘I can’t stop you,’” the “Inside Amy Schumer” star told People.

So she dove in front of the “epicenter of America.”

“They were like, ‘What?’” she told the mag. “Kim was worried for me, and I think Kanye was just, like, scared that I was doing something.”

Schumer added that they were “really sweet” and that Kardashian was “really funny,” which says a lot coming from the MTV Movie Awards host.

Dubbed “the honesty bomb” in the essay Tilda Swinton wrote about her, Schumer was praised by the Oscar-winning actress for being “the first in the water every time, fully clothed with the abandon only 8- or 80-year-olds tend to display.”

“Amy Schumer is the girl you knew at your fantasy school -- yeah, her at the back with the quick, dangerous eyes,” her “Trainwreck” costar wrote. “When you wished the funny ones were also kind, when you wondered why none of the clever ones had real guts, when you wanted sexy to look like something properly glamorous and more interesting than an action figure, it was Amy you were dreaming up.”

And it was Amy who was willing to take a fall for the sake of comedy.
