When it comes to long Twitter rants, Demi Lovato is a frequenter. Her 36.6 million Twitter followers and 40.8 million Instagram followers are well aware that when Lovato is facing an issue, she doesn’t hold back.

And on Monday, she let her followers know exactly where she stands on social media.

“Bye Twitter,” the frustrated singer tweeted. “And insta.”

Although it’s unclear what triggered the rant, it may have something to do with an incident on Friday, when Lovato, 23, interjected on an Instagram meme that compared Mariah Carey with Ariana Grande. In defense of the 22-year-old Grande, Lovato commented, “You got it the wrong way around honey.” In response, Mariah Carey fans hit back at Lovato for her comment.

While Lovato, who hits the road later this month with Nick Jonas for their summer tour, has threatened to quit both Twitter and Instagram, she isn’t ready to break up with Snapchat.

Lovato also criticized fans for directing their focus away from her charity efforts.

The singer offered a simple message to her followers to “pay more attention to the good than bad.”

Though the outspoken singer hasn’t tweeted or posted to Instagram since her declaration to quit the social media sites, both her Twitter and Instagram pages are still active and haven’t been shut down.

With her strong presence on both platforms, it would be surprising if Lovato didn’t return soon. If she does make a Twitter and Instagram comeback, will her fans welcome her back with waving emoji hands?
