Reba McEntire splits from husband-manager Narvel Blackstock

Reba McEntire and her longtime husband-manager, Narvel Blackstock, have split.

In a joint statement posted on her website Monday, the “Going Out Like That” singer and her husband of 26 years revealed that they have been separated for the past few months.

“Despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other. They have worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so. They have asked that you respect their privacy during this time,” the statement said.

It was unclear whether the couple had filed for divorce.

It was the second marriage for the country singer, 60, and Blackstock, 58, who wed in Lake Tahoe on June 3, 1989. They have one son together: Shelby McEntire Blackstock, 25.

Narvel Blackstock is also father to Brandon Blackstock, husband of “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson, as well as two other children from previous relationships.
