Maybe going public wasn’t the best idea? Kylie Jenner and rapper Tyga have reportedly split.

The youngest “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star reportedly ended the relationship over something the rapper did, TMZ reported, pulling the plug Wednesday (on his 26th birthday) after she returned from Australia, where she’d been promoting her latest fashion foray with sis Kendall Jenner.

The site also said that the split was “sudden and nasty” and may have been caused by “pressure from the Kardashians.” The daughter of transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner and Kardashian momager Kris Jenner was absent from the rapper’s birthday festivities and didn’t acknowledge his birthday on her various social media accounts.

A rep for Jenner could not immediately comment on the report, and reps for Tyga did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for confirmation on Friday. Meanwhile, Gossip Cop gave the report an 8 out of 10 on its Real or Rumor scale, and E! News, whose network airs Jenner’s reality show, confirmed the split.

“They are on a break,” an insider told E!. “They were just a week or so ago talking about ‘ever after,’ and things got messy this past week. Kylie wants time to just be by herself and do her. Tyga is not giving up as that’s his one and only lady.”

The Snapchat-loving starlet has been linked to Tyga since fall 2014 after he split with Blac Chyna, the mother of his 2-year-old son, but they did not publicly confirm their romance until the reality star turned 18 in August.

In fact, Tyga repeatedly denied that he was dating the reality star and had taken flack for romancing a minor. In March, he partially confirmed they were a thing by posting a snapshot of Jenner that he captioned, “Certain things catch your eye, but only few capture the heart.”

Then, when Jenner’s birthday rolled around, the rapper was front-and-center during the festivities and even gave her a $320,000 Ferarri. He also featured her in his music video for “Stimulated,” a song believed to be written about her.

Meanwhile, Kris Jenner recently said that she gave the couple’s relationship her blessing and that Tyga -- who joined the family on a recent vacation to St. Barts -- will be featured in the upcoming season of “KUWTK.”
